Canada is the second largest country in the world occupies most of the northern part of North America covering the vast land area from the United State of America in south to the Arctic Circle in the north. It is a country of enormous distances and rich natural resources. Canada is bordered by Alaska (USA) in west, and by 12 US states of the continental United States in south, the country shares maritime borders with Greenland (an autonomous territory of Denmark and Saint Pierre and Miquelon, an island which belongs to France.

EDUCATION SYSTEM
Education in Canada is generally funded and managed by The Provincial Governments of Canada
Students can opt for any of the following:

Certificate programs, generally for a year.

Diploma programs, generally one to two years.

Advanced Diploma programs, generally two to three years.

Bachelor’s degree programs, typically awarded after four years of full-time study.

Post Graduate Diploma / Certificate programs, for one or two years

Master’s degree programs, available after graduation to excel in certain subject.

Doctorate or PhD programs generally require four to seven years to complete.

​WORK WHILE STUDYING
Students are eligible to work part time on or off campus from day one.
Study permits will automatically authorize the holder to work on / off campus for up to 20hours per week during the academic session and full-time (i.e.40 hours per week)

Co-op & Internship Programmes:
Many of the programs have in built internships of one or two semesters which provide an opportunity for the student to get first hand exposure and experience in Industry relating to his or her area of study.
WORK AFTER GRADUATION
All international students who have graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution are eligible for a Post Study Work Visa to gain valuable Canadian work experience.
Should have studied full-time for at least eight months preceding the completion of their program and have graduated from a Designated Learning Institution.
The Post Study Work Visa provides no restrictions on the type of employment and requirement of a job offer.
If the program duration is less than 8months - Students are not eligible for a Post Study Work Visa.
If the program duration is 2 years or more - Post Study Work Visa will be issued for 3 years.
